Pat Terry, Sr. (born Pat Theriault) was brought up in a musical family and grew up as a musician and entertainer playing the banjo. Pat had an great musical career, and toured throughout the country in the 1940's with the Horace Heidt and Dick Contino shows. In the 50's and 60's he entertained in the New England and New York area, he was a featured soloist at Radio City Music Hall in New York for three seasons; at Disneyland in California and at Walt Disney World in Florida for over 10 years with his son, Pat Terry, Jr. as Disney's banjo duo.
A tribute to his life-long banjo performing achievements will be Pat's induction into the "Banjo Hall of Fame". This will take place during a ceremony on May 25, 2006 at 7 pm. at the National Four-String Banjo Hall of Fame Museum in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Members of his family will be there to accept this posthumous award.
